Ben Huntington’s Cream Puff

Cream Puff Rolls
Ingredients:
1 cup of water
1 stick of butter
1 cup of flour
½ tsp baking powder
4 eggs
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Spray cookie sheet.
- Bring water and butter to a boil. Add flour and baking powder and stir vigorously.
- Wait 5 minutes. Add 4 eggs and stir until all lumps are gone and mixture has a paste-like texture.
- Scoop mixture into 2-inch mound on cookie sheet.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
Cream Puff Cream
Ingredients:
2/3 cup sugar
3 tbsp flour
3 tbsp corn starch
½ tsp salt
2 egg yolks (beaten)
3 cups of milk
2 cups whipped heavy cream (optional)
1 tsp vanilla
- Combine sugar, flour, corn starch, and salt into a pot. Add milk and eggs.
- Heat on medium. Whisk vigorously until you reach the desired thickness.
- Let cool for 30 minutes. Add whipped cream and vanilla after the mixture has cooled.
- Slice tops of rolls off and place the desired amount of cream into the roll. Place tops back onto rolls.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
