Jones: ‘a bit more laid back than I expected’

Gage Thompson

Jordon Jones chose Muscatine Community College because it’s close to home, affordable, and “a good choice to explore my options without having to uproot my whole life,”. She said upon her arrival at the college that it was “a bit more laid back than I expected. And the teachers are really helpful, which is nice.”. Jones is a gifted painter, with a focus on the surrealist style, and appreciator of the arts in a broad sense, also enjoying developing her abilities with the medium of photography. She is inspired by the works of Spanish surrealist painter Angel Plannels and American artist Georgia O’Keeffe. In her time studying at MCC she hopes to refine her goals in life and develop the necessary skills to pursue them most efficiently.
