MCC Market offers food assistance for students

Free pantry open noon to 2 p.m. on second and fourth Wednesday

Are you going to bed hungry? Struggling to keep food in your kitchen?

Between bills, gas money, paying tuition and the like it can be difficult to afford quality food. Luckily there are resources right here on MCC campus for students.

The MCC Market is a food pantry operating out of Gaekle Hall room 107 on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month from noon to 2 p.m. Food is donated by the River Bend Food Bank and staffed by volunteers from Walnut Park Baptist Church.

If you’re having difficulties keeping enough grub come down and see Jan Philips, director, and former choral director at MCC. The food you eat is the fuel that powers your body and mind, which is endlessly important when trying to study. You deserve to have food. Send any questions to
